What makes producing the Finamore shirt prominent is the Neapolitan hand-made factor. Finamore shirts are characterized by the tradition of manual workmanship, which gives each shirt genuine quality and a unique character.
Handmade shirts is the only way shirts should be produced. The Finamore shirts are still sewn according to past traditions when sewing machines did not exist, and when buttonholes and the “travettino” on the sleeves were hand sewn to give the right reinforcement in the most delicate points.
Made from Australian Mother of Pearl, the buttons are stitched to allow for easy buttoning. The standard yoke is obtained by hand stitching the shoulder flanges. The collar is also attached by hand to give the shirt the right shape when it’s worn. The hand-stitched collar (with inserted fabric) makes the shirt smooth and tension-free. The smoothness makes the collar fit and adjusts more easily to the man wearing it. The reinforcing mouche (a small triangular piece of cloth joining the shirt’s front and back panels) is applied to the sides of the shirt to ensure a good hold. In addition, it embellishes the piece, giving it a delicate touch of class.
